During the years of 1941 from 1945 they were full of many eventful moments that impacted the world and made history. This was during the time of WW2, which changed everything, especially journalism history.

One of the biggest stories during this time was D-Day. This was one of the most impactful stories that still, to this day, is something people talk about and aim to remember. D-Day fell on June 6, 1944. This was the day that Nazi Germany was defeated. This was also the day that was all over the front page of the news. One of my favorite articles that was written during this time was St. Petersburg Times based in Florida printed on June 6, 1944

This article, in my opinion, is great. Not only is it visually pleasing but it is full of information. The writer brought in the perspective of the soldiers and it felt as though a story was being told. The whole front page was all about the topic of D-Day, so that goes to show how impactful this event was. This event was huge for a lot of newspapers.
However, newspapers weren’t the only ones making headlines. Radio broadcasts were also being updated during this time as well. Below is an example of a radio broadcast about the first few hours of the battle. This was one of the many ways that people stayed updated about what was going on. The broadcasters were detailed about what was happening at that current moment.
